Cowardly backbenchers should act on water

Cavan/Monaghan TD Joe O’Reilly’s comments about protesters spending more to get to the Dublin protest than on water charges show he doesn’t get it. 

This is not just about current levels of payment. Consumer bills will rise, three years hence, when the system will, more than likely, be privatised after the Government defaults on the €2bn in financing which it is to source on the open market.

Why are Fine Gael backbenchers so cowardly when it comes to seeking a constitutional amendment to keep Irish Water for Irish people?
