Why are Government standing over codes?

Previously in your paper I have seen Eircodes likened to eVoting machines due to their wasting large amounts of taxpayers’ money. I now realise that this comparison is incorrect.

Why are Government standing over codes?

It was not widely understood, before they were purchased, that eVoting machines were not fit for purpose. However, with the Eircodes debacle everyone, from emergency services to the freight transport industry, is saying they are not fit for purpose . And now it has emerged that satnav manufactures will not support Eircodes either.

How can minister Alex White continue to push a flawed postcode at great expense upon the Irish public and businesses?
