Phil’s great escape is noted back home

As the debacle of Irish Water continues to descend into the depths of farcical proportions, nobody seems to mention anymore the man who is now comfortably lapping it up on an obscene salary in Brussels – former Minister for the Environment and now European Commissioner Phil Hogan.

This was the man who publicly uttered the words some months ago “You can’t make an omelette without breaking an egg.”

It was some omelette that he pulled together.
