E-voting would have undermined credibility of the count
He is not right when he likens it to ‘the e-voting scandal’. The non-verifiable e-voting machines were not just about changing from paper ballots to e-voting. They were a change from a count of paper ballots in full view, to a count by machine that could not be verified. The e-voting fiasco was not just a waste of taxpayers’ money. It undermined the credibility of the electoral system.
