Who benefits as Hogan moves to Brussels?

Former minister Phil Hogan has been named as [EU] Agriculture Commissioner and normally one might like to see a resumé of past achievements, but would this not resemble washing our dirty linen in public?

Who benefits as Hogan moves to Brussels?

Mr Hogan was caught out recently regarding details of Irish Water set up costs which he did not seem to remember knowing about.

He also claims to have no memory of a meeting where the second mobile licence was discussed with key players and highlighted in the Moriarty Report.

Phil Hogan was director of elections for Fine Gael in 2011 and his main achievement was to opportunistically place blame on Fianna Fáil in spite of Fine Gael’s performance in opposition and the European Central Bank’s bullying strategy towards Ireland.

How glad are we that he has been nominated really and who will benefit?
