So how sovereign are we really?

If, as the government claim, the state has regained its economic sovereignty, why does the government need permission from our EU ’partners’ to borrow at a reduced rate in order to reduce the amount the state owes the IMF?

So how sovereign are we really?

It is claimed that this could result in savings of €400 million in interest payments annually. If the state was sovereign we wouldn't need permission from any body other than the Irish government.

The fact that we need such permission proves we are still not a sovereign state.
