Varadkar is a party man

In an interview on Morning Ireland recently, Transport and Tourism Minister Leo Varadkar was asked about ministerial appointments to State boards.

Minister Varadkar blithely replied that all such sinecures were political and that they (the appointees) were just there to carry out ministerial instructions; shades of his boss, Enda.

It’s time to rewrite Fine Gael’s motto: “Me first, party second, the country nowhere”.
