Sportsmen fit for office?

Does Taoiseach Enda Kenny have a political masterplan involving sports personalities?

Two of our best-known sports people, runner Eamon Coughlan and boxer Kenny Egan, are standing before the people in by- and local elections, respectively. Is it their sporting prowess that Fine Gael require, or is it a collaboration with James Horan, bringing the former Ireland rugby full-back Gavin Duffy onto the Mayo senior football panel. I await the outcomes with anxiety.
