Tractor law an attack on rural life

The new legislation that requires the taxing/registration of tractors that solely work on the land is another example of the attack by the Government on rural Ireland. It is another mean swipe in order to extort money from people. There are very many tractors on farms that never go on the public road and such tractors should be exempt from this legislation.

Tractor law an attack on rural life

Likewise there are many country people (non-farmers) who own tractors for the sole purpose of doing work around their homes and possibly may only go on the road a couple of days in the year. It is wrong that such people are also been attacked under this new legislation.

The extension of this legislation that includes vintage cars and tractors is even a meaner swipe in order to extort money and in the process is killing off another important element of Irish society.
