Cowen failings linger

Brian Cowen’s admission that he didn’t believe the people who warned of a collapse in the Irish economy proves two things

The cabinet had completely succumbed to group think, and, in doing so, Cowen and his erstwhile colleagues demonstrated that they were not suitable for their positions of responsibility.

One could quite easily argue that the same situation is arising with the current government, and it’s zero tolerance for independent thinking.
