Pain of austerity

We have had austerity for the last five years, which has caused huge financial distress to a lot of innocent Irish people.

What this Fine Gael and Labour government fail to understand is the hardship that the majority of ordinary Irish people are going through. In simple terms, people have no more to give.

Michael Noonan’s solution will inflict more suffering and more hardship, more taxes with another austerity budget. He and his colleagues are living in luxury, and will not see any pain from austerity because of huge salaries, expenses and allowances.
