Tribunals are a disgrace

The Irish legal system has failed this country. After 15 years and hundreds of millions of euro, tribunals have been a waste. Their findings of corruption are meaningless without convictions.

Tribunals are a disgrace

Tribunals are a legal pantomime to placate public anger while allowing their actors to avoid responsibility. Those who presided over them should be ashamed.

We must never allow another tribunal. Never again should so many be allowed to escape justice, or so much be wasted on enriching lawyers. Never again should the Irish people be made foolish, forced to watch and pay in silence as we are laughed at by those in the dock, on the bench, and of the bar.
