Enquiry casts doubts about ourselves

After the Asiana Airlines 241 crash in San Francisco, the TV cameras went on board the wreckage.

Survivors were interviewed, black box voice messages were quoted on TV, and TV commentators aired opinions as to what/who was at fault etc.

If that was in Ireland, would it mean that any enquiry was “contaminated” and that no one could be brought to book?
