Daly highlighted hypocrisies of global politics

Clare Daly, in her contribution to Leaders Questions, did nothing more than highlight hypocrisies prevalent in global politics, where Western leaders preach peace and democracy, yet practice violence and coercion.

US foreign interventions are typically geared towards the protection of their vested interests while their language is dressed up to give legitimacy to actions which would be considered dubious at minimum, under normal conventions.

Mr Kenny in his response highlighted his typical awkwardness when confronted with these truths which he either doesn’t understand or chooses to conveniently ignore. He could only muster the usual comments on inward US investment and the Irish-American diaspora.
