‘Survivors’ of stroke

While I appreciate new developments that will benefit someone who has had a stroke (‘Game tech would benefit stroke patients’; Mar 9)) , I passionately feel it is more appropriate to refer to stroke survivors as that — survivors.

Also, I disagree that arm weakness is “often worked on only after the initial focus on mobility and discharge from hospital”. Perhaps a more evidence-based input into this article, either from an experienced stroke-rehabilitation medical or from a therapy professional, would have dispelled this myth.
