Price of violence

I congratulate you (if that is not presumptuous of me) on the moderation and wisdom of your editorial under the heading “Protests in the North” (Opinion, Jan 7).

I can only hope that such wisdom prevails.

As you rightly point out, we have already paid a terrible price for the violence since 1968.
