No sinking ship

Declan Ganley’s suggestion that Europe is just like the Titanic at the moment is a very irresponsible position.

But it may demonstrate how the wealthy entrepreneur feels about the least well-off in society.

Predictions such as his will not affect the better-off, but will greatly worry those who are already in dire straits.

Europe is not going to sink, nor will people die in this crisis, as Declan Ganley suggests.

His belief that accumulating great wealth is the same as running the country and amounts to being highly intelligent is unjustified.

No-one should be fooled by this entrepreneur preaching his usual pessimism about Europe. He’s clearly out of his depth — without a lifeboat.
