Aer Lingus owes Shannon a debt

I understand from media reports that the board of Aer Lingus shall more than likely transfer the aircraft maintenance facility from Shannon to Dublin.

This, quite frankly, beggars belief, having regard to Aer Lingus’ virtual abandonment of Shannon.

This abandonment of Shannon by Aer Lingus for quite a long time now is nothing short of a national disgrace, and nothing less than a form of national sabotage, and for reasons other than the convenience of the flying public in the midlands, west and south of Ireland.
