Burning the electorate

Before the last General Election, Fine Gael and Labour issued a lot of ‘promissory notes’ to the Irish people which promised a pay-back if elected.

These notes, some on their election literature, some in our newspapers, and others given verbally on the airwaves, were used to buy a victory.

It is becoming apparent now that we the electorate, we the bondholders, are being burned daily.
