High-calibre jobs

Florence Craven (Letters, Feb 24) made a derisory comment about “low-grade Paypal jobs” that are to be created in Ireland over the next few years.

These so-called low-grade jobs are estimated to provide an average salary of €47,000 to workers who are proficient in foreign languages and/or other skills such as IT. This doesn’t come under my understanding of the definition of “low-grade” jobs.
