Welfare fraud bandwagon

WE now have two Government ministers jumping aboard an already overloaded bandwagon and boasting about “saving” half a billion on welfare fraud, while saying nothing about the real scammers who not only got away with billions, but are now being handsomely overpaid by the State as a reward for their efforts.

Anyway, the ministers have very little claim to have had anything to do with uncovering social welfare fraud, nearly all the perpetrators were fingered by fellow citizens.

They are foolish to believe that by saving the loose change, the real folding money is somehow going to look after itself. They have alighted on the wrong juggernaut; that light they see at the other end of the tunnel is merely the other one approaching fast; I feel a splat coming on.
