IT has taken the actions of David Kelly, an honest and sincere man, to demonstrate how a McGuinness presidency would proceed: Dogged by controversy at every public appearance at home and abroad.

Genuine people asking legitimate questions about murdered relatives. Is this the image our nation wishes to portray across the world? The President like Caesar’s wife “must be above reproach”.

Mr McGuinness falls far short of the mark in this regard.
