Questions to answer
One could only imagine what they might have been shown. But one can be sure that it would have been salutary.
We would have seen members of the Fine Gael Party smug in the certitude that they were fulfilling their historic role as defenders of law and order and the Labour Party strung up on the horn of an uncomfortable dilemma.
As Minister for Justice, Alan Shatter has new questions to answer and set more alarm bells ringing. The jinx of misjudgment may not have been exorcised. Strong nerves, foresight and goodwill are needed by all concerned in unlimited quantities.
