WHAT if outside cameramen could have wandered through Leinster House pointing their shoulder-slung cameras at all they saw?

One could only imagine what they might have been shown. But one can be sure that it would have been salutary.

We would have seen members of the Fine Gael Party smug in the certitude that they were fulfilling their historic role as defenders of law and order and the Labour Party strung up on the horn of an uncomfortable dilemma.
