Back to school - Making good citizens

HUNDREDS of thousands of young Irish citizens will return to primary or second level schools this week.

Many will come from families where the cost of our free education system is becoming an increasing if not impossible burden.

Many students will return to schools struggling to cope with greatly reduced resources. In some, support services that did so much to encourage those who might have otherwise struggled will no longer exist.
