Irish heroes of WW II deserve to be pardoned
After returning home, I did some research on the matter and discovered that at the time these soldiers were considered to have deserted their post. However, I also learned there are many questions about the manner in which the entire matter was handled.
I am not writing to be critical of your country or government. I am writing to let you know that I hope to see these heroes of Ireland pardoned and that I am doing all that I can to bring this matter to the attention of the American people.
It is my prayer that the current government of Ireland reconsider this entire matter, what was at stake at that time in history, and pardon each and every soldier who put their lives in harm’s way, and, in some cases, gave their lives, for the good of all mankind.
