Time to pour cold water on capitalism gone mad
Water is essential for life. Doctors encourage us to drink eight 8oz glasses of fluid daily. The political propagandists want to make healthy living a luxury.
We know that we will have a spiritual reward if we give even a cup of water to a thirsty person. Will we now have to pay tax to measure out human kindness too? Will we ever be able to make a cup of tea again? The “water police” will have a field day.
Let us pour cold water on capitalism gone mad. From 2000 to 2008, people paid an average nearly 20% per year in all taxes on their personal income and wealth. The words “camel”, “back” “straw” come to mind.
How much more can we take? This country has no shortage of rain. There is certainly no shortage of hare-brained ideas.
Remember the famous words uttered by King Louis XV of France: “After me, the deluge.”
Before you know it, we will have to pay tax on fresh air.
