Let’s hope they can turn the tide

I WAS very surprised when I saw your frontpage last Thursday.

After an historical political event could you not have given us something more positive than “Labour pains”?

What is so badly needed nowadays is a ray of hope for the future.

Watching the day’s Dáil proceedings, I think most people sensed that the possibility is there, that this new government might help to turn the tide, though it’s going to be difficult.

Let’s wish them well.
