Scrapping the Seanad

EDNA Kenny’s first broken promise to abolish the Seanad seems now to be gone up in smoke.

Jobs for the boys and girls who lost out in the general election.

I think we have just replaced the last lot with more of the same. Sickening to say the least.

It is now a retirement home for those who failed in the general election.

I find it strange to the extreme that we need a referendum to be put before the people to abolish the Seanad when we, the public, don’t vote those representative onto it.

We have no say. Now we are told we have to vote to abolish it.

If it smells rotten, it probably is rotten and this smells rotten to the core, with people now saying it could take up to five years to abolish it.
