Tragedy being used in bid to destroy Palin

IT IS simply untrue to say that US President Barack Obama faced a moment “fraught with risk,” (January 14) at the memorial service for the Tuscon shooting victims.

He simply had to show up, and call for unity, as he rightly did. In so doing, it was imperative that he disassociate himself from the disgraceful media frenzy whipped up by his supporters both in the mainstream media and in the Democratic party which tried to link a mindless shooting to Sarah Palin and the “right wing,” based on no evidence, no link, whatsoever.

Even your own reporting of this week’s events is biased, as most media reports are, in referring to a “climate of hate” whipped up by Palin, where none exists.
