Constitutional call

THE Labour Party proposal for a constitutional convention should be supported. Just as Georges Clemenceau declared that “War is too important to be left to the generals“, politics is too important to be left to the politicians.

Left to itself, the political establishment is incapable of any reforms that may threaten the status quo, and will indeed resist them.
