Fat cats no better than corrupt despots abroad

FOR years now I have been trying to convince the Irish government to stop dealing with endemically corrupt regimes in the developing world. But I have failed miserably.

No matter how much supportive evidence was produced, my appeals were consistently ignored, and business carried on regardless.

I always wondered why — until now.
