A bleak future

IN order to get through the next few difficult years, it will be necessary for us to change other people’s mindsets; to do this, of course, it will require us to change our own first.

To illustrate how easy this is, notice the alacrity with which the party of rampant republicanism and chronic cronyism has managed to do this by bending the knee to our third master in less than a century — the IMF.

Such a volte face is not what is required and could not be construed as mind changing — that will require the eating of large amounts of humble pie (already being done) and lashings of the unvarnished truth which is much more indigestible.
