Let’s pay Germans to do our borrowing for us
This would save us in the region of €30m a year for every €1bn borrowed.
If NAMA detects any hesitancy from their German counterparts, remind them that we supplied food to their U-Boats via Ballybrannigan strand in Co Cork during World War II.
With the present borrowing requirement, I fail to understand why we are pumping €10bn a year overseas into pension funds which are failing to provide a return.
