INSTEAD of seeking American advice on image change, credit unions should give their low-income members more favourable loan terms.

Payback time

If someone is expected to make repayments immediately after getting a loan, then perhaps that person did not need a loan at all? There is little good to be said about banks, but they do at least allow a more generous time-frame between receipt of the loan and repayments.
