ENVIRONMENT Minister John Gormley has urged the gardaí to “use their discretion” when applying the law regarding tax on commercial vehicles.

What a wonderful example of buck-passing.

I suppose on ‘Planet Gormley’ a law is only a law when he wants it to be so. Rather than slipping and sliding around the issue, pleading ignorance and putting the onus on the gardaí, why not change the law?
