Callely probe a sham

SO Fianna Fáil is going to carry out an “internal inquiry” into Ivor Callely’s antics. Are we now to believe that the soldiers of destiny have their own secret service or police force?

Instead, I suspect that a couple of loyal hoors will be asked by some minister, to make Callely an offer he can’t refuse before he ruins it for all of them. The man has already said that he did nothing wrong and — in the sense that the gardaí can’t arrest him — he’s sort of right.

Yet, Callely has not actually defended himself by telling us that they are all raking it in and you can be sure the “internal inquiry” will make sure that he doesn’t open his mouth any further.
