No to McDowell

I’M not sure which is more revealing about the flaws in the Irish character.

That someone like Michael McDowell – who was at the heart of everything that went on in government since 1997, and is as guilty as every one else who sat around a cabinet table since 1997, and who no doubt thoroughly relished implementing the policy decisions that caused the mess the country now faces, and having been rejected for the third time by the electorate – is contemplating resurrecting his political career.

How low does the country need to sink before people link who they vote for and the sort of government they get?
