Regions urged to launch campaign against ambulance service cutbacks

Under the proposals, only two of the three ambulance stations serving Midleton, Youghal and Fermoy would remain open any weekday night. Each one would close on a rotating basis.

Protest meetings are being organised to fight against the reduction in the service which has been brought about as a result of the lunatic level of cutbacks in the health services. These harsh policies are being adopted by bureaucrats who are totally insulated from what is happening on the ground. If they were aware of reality we would not have to deal with the total chaos that our health services find themselves at present.
