Out of time

I REGRET to inform Fr Tom Ingoldsby (Letters, June 23) that he has made something of an understatement in declaring that “time is not on our side” in his efforts to oppose a bill which would “legalise sodomy”.

Out of time

Since homosexuality has in fact been legal in this country since 1993, I won’t be holding my breath in anticipation of the sort of divine retribution suggested by his letter.

Might I also suggest to Fr Ingoldsby that if he insists on calling for institutional discrimination against his fellow citizens, he might at least have the courtesy to get such basic facts right in future?
