WHEN the average person applies for a job, employers naturally don’t want anyone who would have to learn skills instead of imparting them.

‘We are where we are’ – but at what cost?

It therefore defies any logic that people like Taoiseach Brian Cowen and his coterie of advisers earned and squandered millions in “learning from mistakes”.

They then shrug this away with “ah, sure, we are where we are”.
