THE disproportionate allocation of state grants by ministers should come as no surprise to anyone (Irish Examiner, April 30).

If ministers’ constituency favourites, especially their own party supporters, want silly things like sports clubs and other so-called facilities in the middle of nowhere, then only their taxes should finance their gombeen minister.
