Gormley should follow own advice

SO Environment Minister John Gormley saw fit to advise Bank of Ireland CEO Richie Boucher that the “right and moral” thing to do was to forego his pension top-up (the Greens do moral indignation so well).

Gormley should follow own advice

Perhaps he might take some of his own advice and stop behaving like a parish pump poltroon and more like the supposed leader he thinks he is and allow the incinerator project at Ringsend to proceed. Or does he think the nation should be saddled with multimillion euro fines as a result of his parochial stupidity.

But therein lies the problem with the Greens – their line in self-rightous moral indignation is reserved only for others, never themselves.
