New rents rise rules should be extended

THE ban on “upwards only” rents should apply equally to tenants in the private residential sector.

The Private Residential Tenancies Board and I could name a few private landlords whose rented properties were last decorated some time before St Patrick and for which they now have the audacity to charge current market value. I imagine few commercial properties were last painted and furnished prior to the first century BC.
