Disaster fraudsters - Callous parasites

JUST as every cloud has a silver lining every disaster presents dishonest parasites with an a opportunity to profit from others’ difficulties.

Last Saturday night a group of women showed how callous we can be even in the face of the most appalling tragedy.

Gardaí are investigating what is believed to be a group fraudsters posing as charity workers who took up a collection for Haiti over the weekend. Women, who claimed to represent the Red Cross, collected money in Limerick pubs on Friday night. They claimed they were part of a nationwide collection for disaster relief.
