YOUR report headlined ‘Ryanair suspends Shannon bookings’ (November 18) suggested that 17 Ryanair routes from Shannon have been cut from May.

Please note that these routes have in fact been cut from March 28 onwards.

Ryanair is moving ahead with its summer schedule and the aircraft which were to operate these routes have been redeployed to Ryanair bases in countries such as Belgium, Holland and Spain, which have axed tourist taxes and/or reduced airport charges, in some cases to zero.
