Gormley’s carbon claims are pure fantasy

SO Europe’s environment ministers have agreed to cut carbon emissions by 95% by 2050.

John Gormley claims this can be done by investing in green energy, public transport, electric cars and a carbon tax.

There is no point in investing in public transport unless people are forced to use it. You only have to look at London or Paris – cities destroyed by traffic but with excellent public transport because there are too many selfish petrolheads and because governments are too cowardly to introduce effective restrictions.
