Curious attitude to same-sex husbands
Far be it from me to question Mairéad Scannell’s sincerity (Letters, October 22). Indeed, being able to voice one’s objections even in trivial matters is, ironically, a cornerstone of the liberal philosophy she decries in her letter.
Perhaps I lack the imagination to see what it must be like to be driven apoplectic by the apparently outrageous notion that two men could be considered “husbands”.
