‘Vanity aid’ must end

The curious thing about Ireland is that it can contribute millions to earthquake victims while people at home die for want of medical treatment.

Such foreign aid must stop now. It can be resumed modestly if and when things improve. We can’t afford the vanity of “peacocking” on the world stage.
