Blaming the voters

FORMER AIB chairman Dermot Gleeson SC may not be a team member of the No to Lisbon campaign but his comments (July 21) have provided the No side with a massive boost.

Here we have a representative of one of the least regarded (rightly or wrongly) sectors of Irish society telling the people they are at least partly to blame for the economic catastrophe because they voted against the Lisbon Treaty.

Mr Gleeson then compounds theinsult by warning citizens they had better get it right next time.
