WHEN Fine Gael finance spokesperson, Michael Noonan, was asked did he think there was political foot dragging surrounding the garda investigation into Anglo Irish Bank, he replied: “Public servants, including gardaí and senior civil servants, always try to act on what they regard as ministers and government priorities and they obviously feel that there isn’t an urgency because these matters are not priorities with government.”
